Meanwhile, going further into the hill country in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, you will experience Kandy, the capital of the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. This is where a long string of Sinhalese kings exerted his imperial power and where Buddhism flourished. Nowadays, Kandy is still the capital of the hill country and still retains the distinctly Sinhalese tradition.

DAY 01: COLOMBO - KANDY
On arrival to Sri Lanka you will be welcomed and greeted by our representatives and transferred to your hotel in Kandy. In the evening you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and Cultural show.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess’ hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession.

Upon reaching you will check-in & Relax at your hotel; Overnight stay in Kandy. .
  
 
DAY 02: KANDY- PINNAWALA-COLOMBO
 After breakfast you will make your way to Colombo en route you will visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage.

Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage - Approximately 55 miles from Colombo the Elephant orphanage was founded in 1975 to accommodate abandoned and wounded elephants. There are around 70 elephants that are sheltered and cared for at the orphanage. The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0930-1000 hrs and 1330-1400 hrs and the bathing time from 1000-1030 hrs and 1400-1430 hrs when all the elephants are taken to the river close by.
Overnight stay in Colombo.
 
 
DAY 03: COLOMBO
After breakfast proceed to the airport in Colombo for departure.
