DAY 1: Wednesday CAIRO.
Arrive at Cairo airport. After you clear customs and collect your luggage, our representative will meet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. Check in and overnight at hotel in Cairo.

DAY 2: Thursday CAIRO.
This morning we drive to the Giza Plateau, home of Egypt's signature attractions: the Great Pyramids, proclaimed by the Greeks to be among the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. We visit the great Pyramids of Giza and their guardian Sphinx, Memphis-first capital of the ancient kingdom to see the statue of Ramses II then to Sakkara to see the Step pyramid.
Optional - After dinner on your own, return to Giza for a spectacular Sound & Light show. Nothing compares to seeing the Pyramids and the Sphinx illuminated at night; the visual effects as well as dramatic commentary make for an unforgettable evening. Overnight at our hotel in Cairo.

DAY 3: Friday CAIRO - ASWAN.
This morning transfer to Cairo Airport for the flight to Aswan. On arrival in Aswan; Optional - connect with a flight to Abu Simbel for a half day of sight seeing before flying back to Aswan. Then we will be escorted to embark on the Nile cruise ship-our floating hotel for the next five days. After lunch, we sail by 'felucca' a traditional Nile sailing boat, to view Kitcheners Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Optional - Sound & light show in Philae temple. Overnight in Aswan. |

DAY 4: Saturday KOM OMBO - EDFU.
Today we visit the impressive Aswan High Dam and its huge lake, and the Temple of Philae. Then we cruise to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple shared by the Gods Sobek & Haroeris. Dinner and overnight onboard in Edfu.

DAY 5: Sunday ESNA - LUXOR.
This morning we explore the Temple of Horus, the falcon god. Then we sail to Esna and continue sailing to Luxor. Optional - Sound & light show in Karnak temple. Overnight in Luxor.

DAY 6: Monday LUXOR.
Optional - hot air ballooning over the valley at the sunrise. Today we check out after breakfast and then we explore the wondrous Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. This afternoon we visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. At the end of the day we are transferred to the train station to catch our overnight train to Cairo.

DAY 7: Tuesday CAIRO.
This morning visit the Egyptian Museum the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. Accompanied by your certified Egyptologist, you'll stroll through the halls highlighting each historical period of this ancient land. Spend the evening at leisure on your own in Cairo or Optional - Afternoon take half day tours visiting not-to-be-missed the Khan Al-Khalili bazaar, abuzz with activity and offering a priceless perspective on Cairo's oriental character OR discover Cairo's churches & synagogues by taking the old Cairo Coptic half a day tour. Overnight in Cairo.

DAY 8: Wednesday CAIRO - TEL AVIV.
Transfer from the hotel to Cairo airport for your flight to Tel Aviv.
Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport, where you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

DAY 9: Thursday: CAESAREA - MEDIDDO - HAIFA - ACREC.
Depart Tel Aviv and drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. Visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; Visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. Drive to Haifa; view the Persian Gardens at the Baha'i Temple. From Haifa, drive to Acre to visit the ancient city and harbor. Continue on to Kibbutz Lavi for an overnight. |

DAY 10: Friday: TIBERIAS - CAPERNAUM - BANIAS.
After a short tour of Tiberias, we take a boat ride to Capernaum. Visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of fish and loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Drive to Banias Springs and waterfalls and tour the Golan Heights. Return to Kibbutz Lavi for overnight. |

DAY 11: Saturday: NAZARETH - BEI SHEEN.
Drive to Nazareth via Cana of Galilee. Visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph's workshop and Mary's well. Drive to Yardenit, the place where the Jordan River lives The Sea of Galilee, and Baptism place, Continue to Beit Sheen, a newly excavated city, and visit the Roman theatre. Drive along the Jordan River to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem. |

DAY 12: Sunday: JERUSALEM - OLD CITY.
Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city; visit the church of All Nations, King David's tomb and the room of the Last Supper on Mt. Zion. Enter within the walls of the city and visit the Cardo, Temple Mount (entrance to the mosques not included), Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Oriental Bazaar. Overnight in Jerusalem. |

DAY 13: Monday: JERUSALEM - NEW CITY & BETHLEHEM.
Drive to Ein Karem to visit the Church of Visitation; proceed to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the holocaust; Visit the Israel museum, the shrine of the book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are housed, and the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the second temple period. Proceed to Bethlehem * to visit the Church of Nativity. Overnight in Jerusalem * Visits subject to availability. |

DAY 14: Tuesday: DEAD SEA - MASSADA.
Drive to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found. Visit the ancient city of Qumran and drive along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, to Massada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Ascend Mt. Massada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system and Herod's Palace. Return to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem. |

DAY 15: Wednesday: TEL AVIV - AMMAN.
Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for departure flight to Amman.
Meet at Queen Alia International Airport and assistance with Jordanian immigration and customs formalities or join this tour in Amman. Drive to Jerash, the best-preserved city of Roman times, to visit its theaters, temples, churches and colonnaded streets. Then continue to Ajloun to tour the 12th century Saracen Castle built by one of Saladin's lieutenants in the campaign against the Crusaders. Overnight in Amman. |

DAY 16: Thursday: PETRA.
Drive southwards along the Kings' Way to Petra, visiting Madaba with the oldest map of the Holy Land, and its Mosaic School, Mt. Nebo and the alleged burial site of Moses overlooking the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley; then drive through the magnificent scenery of Wadi Mujib to Kerak to visit the Crusader Castle (stop for optional lunch). Overnight in Petra. |

DAY 17: Friday: PETRA.
A full day to visit the many sites of Petra, this city that was carved into the rose-red Sharah Mountains by the Nabateans and lost to Civilization until re-discovered by the Swiss Burkhardt. Walk through the Siq, a narrow and winding fissure between the cliffs, to reach the Treasury, the Roman Theater, the Courts, Qasr Bint Pharaoun, Temple of the Winged Lion and other monuments. A break for optional lunch, or you may wish to climb up to the Monastery. Overnight in Petra. |

DAY 18: Saturday: PETRA - AMMAN.
Visit the Wadi Rum Desert (a short ride in a 4x4 vehicle) with its awesome moon-like landscape, where the film "Lawrence of Arabia" was shot. Continue to the Araba Crossing and assistance with departure formalities, or to Aqaba for a day or two at the Beach (please see "Optional Services"). Drop-off is also possible in Amman with no surcharge. |
