DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN BANGALORE AND TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL.

On arrival our executive will meet you in the airport followed by the transfer to hotel in Bangalore.

DAY 02: BANGALORE - MYSORE (135km).

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive towards Mysore. Mysore District is an undulating table land, covered in parts by granite outcrops. Mysore has still an old world charm which has not given way to modern amenities. In addition to its beautiful silk sarees and sandalwood oil, Mysore is famous for sandalwood and rose wood carved articles. On arrival check in the hotel for overnight stay in Mysore [B/D]

 
 

THURS. NOV. 04
DAY 03: MYSORE SIGHTSEEING.

After breakfast, we depart to take you to Kodava family who have settled down in Mysore. At their home you will experience a taste of authentic Kodava cuisine and culture. You will also have the opportunity to cook some items.
The Kodavas are a martial race with a tradition of ancestor worship. After noon Mysore visiting Maharaja's Palace. Built in Indo Saracenic style with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades, the Palace is a treasure house of exquisite carvings and works of art from all over the world it was once the residence of Wodeyars. It's especially magnificent on Sunday nights and during festivals. Overnight stay in Mysore [B/L/D]

DAY 04: MYSORE - MUDHUMALAI (110km).

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive towards Mudhumalai. One of South India's largest wild life reserves. Situated in the foothills of Nilgiris, Mudhumalai / Bandipur are a large reserve (3000 sq.km) ranges in vegetation from Semi-evergreen forests to swamps and grass lands. In Mudumalai the mostly dense forest is home to spotted deer, Indian Bison, tiger, panther, wild boars and sloth bear. On arrival check in the hotel and in the evening, enjoy the Jeep Safari.

DAY 05: MUDHUMALAI - OOTY (70km) - by Toy train - COONOOR

After Breakfast, we check out from hotel and drive to Ooty (Uthagamandalam) - the famous hill station in the Nilgiri Hills (Blue Mountain) that was found by the British in the early 19th century and is spread amongst rolling hills and valleys. Earlier this place was inhabited by tribal people named Todas. Its green landscape, gardens and tall eucalyptus trees adds beauty to this hill. It's famous for its outdoor activities like trekking, horse riding, boating. We proceed to travel in the miniature railway is also famous here. At 3:00pm, board the steam train to enjoy a trip from Ooty to the remote Hill Grove station. This trip gives you some spectacular views of the precipitous eastern slopes of the rain-forested Nilgiris. Reach Hill grove station at 04.00pm. On arrival you are transferred to your beautiful resort. In the evening we will proceed for a Cooking Demonstration where we will experience real Nilgiris - Day Fresh Cuisine.

DAY 08: COCHIN.

After breakfast, we take you to a Cooking Class at house of NALINI VERMA. Nalini Verma is a professional cookery instructor for the last 26 years and has authored four cook books. Nalini Verma offers tourists from across the globe a unique opportunity to get acquainted with finer nuances of traditional Kerala cuisine through her special cookery classes. These classes / demonstrations are meant exclusively for foreigners and conducted at her residence in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi, and Kerala (India) .On arrival welcome drink will be served. Every single dish will be demonstrated to the guest. Printed notes will be given. We will also arrange for Market trip -like visit vegetable market and spice market.
Guests are also provided the opportunity to enjoy a meal with an Indian family whereby they can enjoy delicious food in homely ambience and get an opportunity to interact with members of the host family on a personal level and experience the nuances of a joint family system. The unique experience brings tourists in close touch with the traditions, values and cultural ethos of this enchanting land.Later in evening proceed for the Katakali show. In the evening at approximately 5:45 p.m. you will attend the popular classical dance-drama of Kerala "Kathakali". This dramatized presentation of a play usually based on the Hindu epics of Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranas has a unique combination of literature, music, painting, acting and dance. WED. NOV. 10
DAY 09: COCHIN - ALLEPPEY (65km)
Cruises: Alleppey to Alleppey trip.

After breakfast checkout from the hotel proceed for the Cochin visiting - the old part of Fort Cochin and Mattancherry. First you will visit the Dutch Palace which was built by the Portuguese and presented to the Cochin King in the 16th century and the St. Francis Church - the oldest European church in India, Santa Cruz Basilica - built by Portuguese in the 16th century, the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue also built in 16th century, the fishing market and the famous Chinese fishing net - believed having been brought by trader from Kubla Khan's court in China & drive towards Alleppey to embark the houseboat to Alleppey. A voyage takes you to the rich green, sleepy little village of Alleppey on the Vembanad Lake. While the cruise you can observe birds, sunbath on the deck of the House Boat or simply laze in a canoe amidst sylvan surroundings, gliding along the calm and serene backwaters flanked by green leaves, completely hidden from the road. Alleppey is a unique experience for any visitor while staying in Kerala. Overnight on the House Boat [B/L/D]

DAY 10: ALLEPPEY - PERIYAR.

After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and drive towards Periyar. On arrival check into the hotel and at 14.00hrs leave for a guided plantation tour to the nearby garden where in various species of spices and other aromatic plants are cultivated. FRI. NOV. 12
DAY 11: PERIYAR / SIGHTSEEING.

Early morning start at approximately 06:00am so you can go on a Guided Jungle walk at the Periyar Tiger Reserve / National Park. This 3 hrs walk (not very hard) is very interesting and gives you the chance to see the wildlife life at a very close distance. If you are lucky you may even spot the rarely sighted leopards & tigers. Return to hotel and rest. Remaining day is free for leisure to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. SAT. NOV. 13
DAY 12: PERIYAR - MADURAI.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards the old city in Tamil Nadu - Madurai. On arrival check in to hotel and later proceed for sight seening tour of Gandhi Musemum - The Gandhi Museum of Madurai was established in the loving memory of the Mahatma Gandhi. Thirumalai Nayak Palace of India is an example of architectural grandeur and was built by King Thirumalai Nayak in 1636 AD. The palace was designed by an Italian Architect and served as the residence of the King. It is situated at a distance of 2.5 km from the Meenakshi temple of Madurai. Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam is situated at a distance of about 5 km from the Meenakshi Amman Temple. The area of the tank, and the island pavilion with a garden in the center, is approximately equal to the area of Meenakshi Temple. In the evening we attend a fantastic night ceremony at Meenakshi Temple, where the moveable images of the God and Goddess are carried to the bed chamber. The ceremony was accompanied by a horn, drum and cymbalist, among other sounds. Later return to hotel.
