Tour Summary :
The tour begins in Marmaris, where we will board our yacht and meet our crew and fellow passengers who will join us on this varied and interesting cruise, visiting Marmaris and the Greek Islands. We will sail south-west towards Bozukkale (Loryma) and the small fishing town of Bozburun before arriving at Symi island. We will then sail to the historic Port town of Rhodes where you have time to discover more of the island's history and charm, before returning to Marmaris. This cruise will give you the opportunity to see some beautiful coastal towns and villages in both Turkey and Greece, to learn about the history of the area and to relax onboard while our expert crew takes care of you. The tour ends in Marmaris.

Day 1 - Saturday : Marmaris - Arrive
Today boarding starts at 15:30 from Marmaris Harbour. Service starts on the boat with dinner and an overnight stay in Marmaris Port. Marmaris, which was built upon the antique Karian city of Phyckos, has been under the governorship of many different civilizations. Evidence of its long and interesting past can be seen throughout Marmaris: the Castle dates from 1577 and there is a mosque and an 8-room caravansary that date from the Ottoman Period. It also boasts a large and impressive marina. Overnight onboard. (D) |

Day 2 - Sunday : Serçe / Bozukkale (Loryma)
Whilst you have breakfast today you will be informed about the boat and the cruise itinerary for the next week, then we will set sail for Serçe Bay; a Byzantine shipwreck from the 11th century (which is exhibited in the Bodrum Museum) was found here. We will then sail to Bozukkale, where we will spend the night. In the ancient city of Bozukkale (Loryma) there is an old castle; the name Bozukkale means 'crooked castle' and may have come about because one side of the castle is missing. Because of its geographical location and the narrow port entrance, this port was used by the Greek naval forces during the Peloponnese Sea Battle. Karor, the Commander of Athens, gathered all his ships here before the Cnidus War in 395 B.C. and Demetrius, the son of Antigonos, used this port for the preparations before attacking Rhodes in 305 B.C. Day 3 - Monday: Bozburun / Dirsekbükü / Bencik
Early this morning we will cruise to Bozburun, a small fishing town. This area used to be popular for sponge-diving, but the people of the island no longer rely on this as a source of income as it is not financially viable and it can be quite dangerous. We will anchor at Dirsek Bükü for lunch and for a swimming stop. Today our last stop will be at Bencik Bay, which has a very narrow entrance but a unique view once you get inside. Bencik is located at the narrowest part of the peninsula that divides Hisarönü Gulf from the Gökova Gulf, and is located on the Hisarönü side. Around 550 B.C., the Cnidus people wanted to dig a tunnel in the narrowest piece of land on the peninsula between the Hisarönü Gulf and the Gökova Gulf as a defence line against the Persians; that way they could make the two peninsulas into one island and so defend it more easily. Despite starting this task, they did not manage to complete the tunnel and the city was eventually conquered by the Persians. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Bencik Bay. Overnight onboard. Day 4 Tuesday: Aktur / Datça
Today our first stop will be Aktur Bay. After lunch and a swimming stop we will then cruise to Datça; food and water will be supplied for the boat from Datça Harbour. The city was founded by the Dors who came from Aegean Sea to the southern coast of Ionia in the 7th century B.C. The island enjoys very low humidity and boasts clean, fresh air rich in oxygen. The historian Strabo once said of Datça's weather: "God would send his beloved servants to Datça to live longer". According to local legend, when Spanish pirates were passing by the coast of Datca they offloaded people with Hansen's disease into Sariliman Bay reputedly these abandoned people recovered from their disease with the help of the clean weather of Datça. Day 5 Wednesday: Symi
After observing port formalities, we will set sail for Symi Island and stop at the Monastery of Panormitis, located in the southern part of Symi. It is possible to visit the Monastery and the Museum on this well-protected and peaceful bay. After having a swimming break on the eastern shores of the island, we will anchor at the port early in the evening. We will have a good view of the shore, lined with neo-classical houses, pine and oak forests and unique bays. Overnight onboard. (B, L, D)

Day 6 Thursday: Rhodes
We will cruise to Rhodes early this morning. Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands and is a very popular holiday spot, as it boasts warm weather for 300 days of the year. Rhodes has been home to many civilizations; starting with the knights of St. John in the Middle Ages, then Ottomans and the Italians; as a result it enjoys a unique and varied history that is still evident today. The main port of Rhodes is Rhodes City, which is still surrounded by 12 meter-thick city-walls; walking around the city gives you a sense of what it must have been like here in medieval times. After dinner we encourage you to enjoy a night out in this vibrant and bustling city. Overnight onboard. (B, L, D) |

Day 7 Friday: Marmaris
After entering Marmaris Port this morning we will anchor at Cennet Island (Paradise Island), where we will be able to enjoy a swim and have lunch. Later this afternoon we will anchor at Marmaris Harbour for dinner and overnight. Overnight onboard. (B, L, D) |
