Tour Summary :
This four day tour offers you the chance to see Istanbul, a highlight of any trip with its world-class museums and historic sites, and Cappadocia, famed for its natural rock formations and spectacular scenery. In Istanbul you can enjoy a full day tour of the historic sites of Istanbul, including Topkapi Palace and St. Sophia (Hagia Sofia), as well as the Grand Bazaar. You then fly to Cappadocia where you can explore the ancient Churches but into the rock and tour the UNESCO World Heritage site at Goreme. The tour ends in Cappadocia.

DAY 1 - Istanbul - Arrive.
On arrival in Istanbul you will be met by our representative and driven to your hotel. This afternoon is free for you to enjoy this beautiful city at your leisure. Overnight in Istanbul. |

DAY 2 - Istanbul
Today you will be collected from your hotel for a full day tour of Istanbul*. You will see Topkapi Palace, the official and primary residence in the city of the Ottoman Sultans for approximately 400 years (excluding harem) and the Hippodrome, where the city's chariot races used to take place. You will visit the stunning Blue Mosque, famous for its ceramics, and St. Sophia (or Hagia Sofia), which was once a Church, then a Mosque, before eventually becoming a museum. You will also have the chance to visit the famous Grand Bazaar, where can test your bartering skills or simply explore. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to your hotel. DAY 3 - Istanbul / Kayseri / Cappadocia (FLIGHT)
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kayseri. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Rose Valley, where you can hike downhill and explore some of the oldest churches in the region. You will arrive in Cavusin Village, an old Seljukian and Ottoman village, where you can visit the Cave Mosque. After lunch your guide will take you to see Kaymakli Underground City, where early Christians hid from persecutors, and Ortahisar Castle, a 90m high natural Fortress. After the tour you will be taken to your hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, L. Please note Dinner is included in the Superior Category only) |

DAY 4 - Cappadocia - Return
Today you will be collected from your hotel and taken to explore 'Imagination Valley', which boasts animal-like natural rock formations. You will then visit Pasabagi, or "Monk's Valley", which has some of the most impressive Fairy Chimneys in Cappadocia. After lunch you will continue onto Pigeon Valley near Uchisar and visit the Open Air Museum at Goreme, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has some of the finest rock-cut Churches in the area. After the tour has finished you will be escorted to the airport at Kayseri / Nevsehir airport, where the tour ends. (B)
*Please be aware that Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays, St. Sophia is closed on Mondays and the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.
